Create and manage a Multiple Dates series
Multiple dates lets you run the same event on specific dates you pick, instead of relying on a repeating schedule. Use it for irregular runs like a workshop on scattered dates; use a recurring schedule when sessions follow a pattern (see Creating recurring events).
Before you start
Multiple Dates is available on every plan, including Free. Unlike recurring schedules, it does not require a paid plan.
Each published date counts as one event toward your plan's active-event limit. Creating, publishing, or adding dates is refused when the count would exceed the limit, and the error explains that each date counts as one.
Create the series
You choose the dates in the event wizard's Date & time section.
Open the schedule chooser in Date & time and pick Multiple dates (Same event on different dates).
Enter the start and end time of the first date.
Click Add another date and enter the start and end time of each additional date.
Use Remove this date on any row you no longer want.
Save the event.
The earliest date becomes the first event of the series and every other date joins the same series. Each date keeps its own capacity and tickets, and attendees register for individual dates, not the whole series.
The first date of the series cannot be removed in the editor. To move the series start, delete the first date from its own event page and the next date takes over the series.
How the series appears
On the Events page, the Series tab shows the whole series as one row with a Multiple dates badge, the next upcoming date, and upcoming and past counts. Expand the row to see the individual dates. In the editor, the dates appear as individual date rows you can adjust or remove one at a time.
Choose an edit scope
When you save changes to an event in a Multiple Dates series, the Apply changes to dialog asks which dates the save applies to:
This event only: change only this date. Other dates keep their details. This option is selected by default.
This and following events: change this date and all later dates in the series.
All events: change every date in the series.
Click Apply to save with the chosen scope.
Remove a date that has attendees
Saving a date list that leaves out a date with current attendee registrations is refused before anything changes. Dates whose registrations are all in the past are detached from the series without this confirmation step. A dialog titled This date has attendees (or These dates have attendees for several dates) lists each date leaving the series with its date and time, attendee count, and revenue.
Click Keep it as a standalone event (or Keep them as standalone events) to confirm. Those dates become standalone events that keep their attendees and tickets, and stop being part of the series.
Closing the dialog saves nothing and leaves the series unchanged. If another date is booked before you confirm, the dialog reopens with the updated list and the note More dates were booked since you last saved.
Cancel a session with series ticket holders
A date holding Event Series seats cannot be removed from the series: the save is refused and asks you to cancel that session instead. In the series editor, the date's row shows Cancel this session instead of the remove control.
Click Cancel this session on the date's row.
Confirm in the dialog. Only this session is cancelled; other dates in the series continue as scheduled.
The date row then shows Cancelled and stays in the series list. Attendees registered for that date receive your cancellation email unless cancellation emails are switched off.
Restore a deleted date that conflicts
When you restore a deleted date from Recently deleted and the series already has a date at that time, a dialog asks Restore as its own event? because the series already has a date at that time. Click Restore as its own event to bring the deleted event back detached from the series as a standalone event; the series' own date stays in place.
Create a Multiple Dates series with Evie
Evie turns a prompt that names a list of dates or a date range into a Multiple Dates series when at least two dates in the prompt parse in your time zone. The earliest date becomes the first event and the rest join the series. If fewer than two dates parse, Evie creates a single event instead. Review the generated dates before publishing; for the full flow, see Using Evie (AI) to create an event.
