Managing Your Account

Verify and link your Squarespace account

If you buy a Squarespace site or domain through Eventually, you must verify your Squarespace account email and link the account before you can manage domains or sites. This article walks through the verification banner, the email-only verification flow, and the account-linking steps.

When you see the verification banner

After you purchase a reseller site or domain, a banner appears on the Domains & Sites hub while your Squarespace account is still unverified. You will also receive an order confirmation email with a login link. If you do not activate your account within 5 days, an activation reminder email is sent automatically.

  • Heading: Verify your Squarespace account

  • Body: We emailed you a verification link. Until you verify, "Manage in Squarespace" links bring you back here.

  • Action: Click Resend email if you need the verification message sent again.

Until verification is complete, any "Manage in Squarespace" actions are blocked and redirect you back to the banner. The verification link is intentionally email-only for ownership reasons; the app no longer displays the link in the dashboard.

Verify your email address

  1. Check your inbox for the verification email from Squarespace.

  2. Click the verification link in the email.

  3. Follow the prompts to set your password and finish account setup.

After your email is verified, the banner disappears and you can proceed to link your account.

Only team owners and admins can link a Squarespace account for reseller purchases. If you are a Support or Viewer user, ask an owner or admin to complete this step.

Once your email is verified, connect the Squarespace account to your Eventually team.

  1. In Eventually, go to SettingsDomains & Sites.

  2. In the Domains card, find the line: Already have a Squarespace account? Connect it to register domains and sites on it.

  3. Click Connect it.

  4. Log in to Squarespace when prompted, then review the permissions.

  5. Click Allow to authorize the connection.

You are redirected back to Eventually with the message Your Squarespace account is linked — you can now register domains and sites.

What happens next

After linking succeeds:

  • The Domains & Sites hub shows your connected account.

  • You can click Manage in Squarespace without being routed back to verification.

  • You can register additional domains or build new sites through the reseller flow.

  • One Squarespace account is pinned per team after the first purchase. It is shown read-only on every later purchase and cannot be changed during checkout.

Troubleshooting

"You don't have permission to do that."

Account linking is restricted to team owners and admins. If you see this message, contact an owner or admin on your team to complete the link. See Roles and permissions.

"That Squarespace account is already linked to another team."

A Squarespace account can only be linked to one Eventually team at a time. If you need to move it, disconnect it from the other team first, or use a different Squarespace account.

"Your linking session expired. Please try again."

Squarespace OAuth sessions time out. Return to SettingsDomains & Sites and click Connect it again.
