Managing Your Account

Deleting your account

Eventually offers two ways to remove data: self-serve account deletion removes your login and profile, while support-assisted deletion removes your business data (events, attendees, orders, and media). If you are closing your account, export anything you need to keep first, then choose the removal path that matches your goal.

What self-serve deletion does

Self-serve deletion permanently removes your user login and profile from Eventually. It does not delete events, attendees, orders, team memberships, or uploaded media. Those records remain in the system because they are tied to your Squarespace site and team, not just your personal login.

You can start self-serve deletion from your account settings.

  1. Open Settings and go to the User tab.

  2. Scroll to the Danger Zone section.

  3. Click Delete account and confirm the prompt.

After confirmation, your login is removed immediately and you are signed out. Your events and attendee data remain accessible to other team members on the same site.

What happens to your Squarespace site

Deleting your Eventually login does not disconnect or delete your Squarespace site. If you also delete the Squarespace site itself, the linked events and attendee data are nullified in Eventually and become inaccessible.

Support-assisted business-data deletion

To permanently delete events, attendee records, orders, and media, contact support and request a full business-data deletion. This is not self-serve because it affects data shared with team members and site visitors.

Business-data deletion is irreversible. Export any attendee lists, order data, or media you need before requesting removal.

Data retention after termination

When you terminate your account or delete your site:

  • You have 30 days to export your data.

  • After the export window, Eventually deletes personal data within 90 days, subject to standard backup retention cycles.

  • Application logs are kept in hot storage for up to 30 days.

  • Database backups roll on a 30-day cycle.

  • Processed Squarespace webhook payloads are purged automatically after 30 days.

  • Some API logs are currently retained longer while a purge job is planned.

Cancelling your subscription vs deleting your account

Cancelling your subscription stops billing but leaves your account, events, and data intact. You can reactivate later. Deleting your account removes your login permanently. If you want to stop billing without losing data, see Billing and plans.
