How checkout works through Squarespace Commerce
Eventually uses your Squarespace Commerce checkout for paid tickets. When customers purchase tickets, they complete payment directly on your Squarespace site—no redirects to external pages and no third-party branding overlay.
Payment processing and fees
Standard Squarespace Payments processing fees apply to each transaction. Eventually charges a flat monthly subscription for your plan—there are no per-ticket fees on top of your Squarespace costs.
Paid tickets need checkout connected
Paid tickets process only when your Squarespace site’s checkout is connected. If it is not connected, Eventually refuses the paid purchase path and shows buyers a disabled Sales open soon state on the widget and hosted event page instead of a broken checkout link.
Free registration by default still completes in Eventually without Squarespace checkout. External registration and standard free/RSVP paths are not blocked by this paid-checkout guard. Connect checkout from Settings → Payments & Sites; see Connect your Squarespace site and Common checkout issues and solutions.
Free tickets
By default, free tickets are claimed instantly in Eventually without going through Squarespace Commerce. Attendees complete a quick registration and receive a confirmation email.
You can also route free tickets through Squarespace Commerce so $0 orders appear alongside paid purchases in your store order history. This is set per event in the Checkout section of the event editor. See Record free tickets in your store for setup steps.
